OUR
STORY
The University of Bristol Synchronised Swimming Club was founded in March 2018 by Fiona Williams. As a club it provides members of the University of Bristol community with the opportunity to explore the benefits of synchronised swimming.
Through providing a welcoming and friendly environment which provides equal and diverse opportunities to all members and allowing those who wish to do so to develop and progress to the best of their ability; UoB Synchro in the space of only one year has not only become a driving force for synchronised swimming within universities but become a huge part, as well as fundamental member of the University of Bristol sporting community.
Other sports clubs across the university have looked at UoB Synchro as a leading figure, inspiring others to achieve more and push for success. Even within its first year the development of UoB Synchro was unparalleled. The club defied the odds to attend the National Masters Synchronised Swimming Championships in November 2018, coming away with a silver medal, to running their own competition in March 2019 with incredible success.
